Our task was to help professionalise and develop the Dutch Mountain Film Festival and so create one of the leading mountain film festivals worldwide.

Since its inception in 2011, Upendi has been closely involved in the DMFF. Over the years, our professional participation has increased substantially and in 2018 Upendi became an active member of the festival’s organisation. Since then we have been looking after the technical side of the DMFF, for example, by providing all moving content for the festival (teasers, trailers, promos, backdrops, intermission screens , etc.) and managing key (press) events (including the opening and award show). The DMFF was a leading player in the relaunch of the Royal cinema in Heerlen in 2018. Since then, Upendi has also been responsible for the festival’s presentation.

OUTCOME

The DMFF has been an active member of the International Alliance of Mountain Film (IAMF) and is now one of the leading and most influential mountain festivals worldwide. To this end, the DMFF provides inspiration to other festivals and each year brings 20,000 visitors in contact with mountain and outdoor sports. Upendi is proud of having made a major contribution to this achievement.
